Wow! There's some amazing scenery all over the place near Reno. Here's the story behind this pic-
The cusp of dawn and sunrise envelops the Lake Range Mountains and the Winnemucca Lake basin below. It was odd and definitely unexpected to find green vegetation here in mid August. Alternating mountain ranges and desert basins are typical of Nevada topography and geology. This area within the Pyramid Lake Paiute Indian Reservation is located approximately 35 miles northeast of Reno, Nevada.
