This might be so gross that it's cool - San Luis Obispo in California is home to Bubble Gum Alley - two walls directly off Higuera Street that are approximately fifteen feet high and seventy feet long covered from top to bottom by tens of thousands of pieces of used bubble gum. Sometime during the 60s people started sticking their gum along the walls but by the time local business owners began to complain, it was too late. Mabel Hooper and Wrybread have a nice tour of the street but it still makes us cringe a little.

You're right, it is amazing and disgusting. Bubble gum alley was one of the first things I was shown when moving to SLO. The gum just keeps getting thicker too.
