TripCart can't ever get enough of Frank Lloyd Wright, and this week the Washington Post has a great article on a house of his in Wichita we'd never seen. FLW built over 500 structures in his day but he considerd the Henry J. Allen House to be "among [his] best." Wright was busy working on the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo at the time and the Asian influence can be seen in the house's curved roofline. Frank's last "prarie house" has been praised for the unique integration of the garden and courtyard with the living areas. The house includes 23 pieces of original furniture and tours of the Allen-Lambe House are available as long as you call a week and a half in advance.
